We’re excited to launch Back Chat, our new interactive podcast series where Giant Screening experts discuss the biggest topics shaping hiring, compliance, and the candidate experience.

Our first episode, “Failure to prevent fraud: The new law putting employers at risk,” features screening experts Rachel Holland and Bunmi Fayomi.

From 1 September 2025, the Failure to Prevent Fraud offence under the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act (ECCTA) came into effect. It introduces unlimited fines for organisations that can’t demonstrate they took “reasonable steps” to prevent fraud.

In this 20-minute interactive session, you’ll learn:

  • What the new law means for employers and HR teams
  • How to demonstrate “reasonable prevention” through background screening
  • Why screening is your first line of defence
