Giig relaunches as the AI recruitment CRM for small agencies, and lets them "hire Claude" into their desk

Free plan stays, still no contracts, and Claude can now search and update an agency's CRM from a chat

Giig, the recruitment CRM built for independent recruiters and small agencies, has relaunched as an AI recruitment CRM for agencies of 1 to 20 people. The update puts AI into the jobs recruiters do every day, and lets Claude, Anthropic's AI assistant, read and update an agency's records directly.

The headline feature is Giig's Claude connector, built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Once connected, a recruiter can ask Claude to "find data engineers in Manchester we haven't spoken to in six months", prep for a client call from past vacancies and notes, or log an update, all from a chat window. Unlike read-only connections, Claude can make changes too, with the agency choosing exactly what it can see and edit.

Alongside it, Ask Giig lets recruiters question their own database in plain English inside the app, and AI cover letters turn a candidate's CV into a client-ready summary in one click. These sit on top of the core CRM and ATS: CV parsing, branded CV formatting, drag-and-drop pipelines for jobs and business development, a LinkedIn Chrome extension, bulk email and multi-posting to 1,000+ job boards through Giig's idibu integration.

"Small agencies have been sold software that's built for 200-seat teams, priced like it, and locked into contracts meant for enterprise businesses," said Luke Pitkin, founder of Giig. "Most of a recruiter's day is still admin: finding people you already know, writing the same emails, updating records. We'd rather Claude did that bit, so you can get back on the phone."

The pricing hasn't changed its principles. Giig's Free Forever plan, which made its name in the independent recruiter community, stays free for one user with unlimited candidates, clients and jobs. Paid plans are monthly with no contract and no exit fees: Starter at £14.99, Plus at £45 and the new Giig AI plan at £59 per user per month plus VAT. Agencies can export their data whenever they like.

"When we launched in 2020, it was all about giving away a CRM for free, and that free plan still exists," Pitkin added. "You can start free, try the AI when you're ready, and leave whenever you want with all your data. If the software's good enough you'll stay. If it isn't, a contract wasn't going to fix that."

The relaunch comes with a bigger push on free, practical content for agency owners: weekly guides on the Giig blog, honest side-by-side comparisons with Bullhorn, Vincere, JobAdder, Loxo, Recruit CRM and Recruiterflow, and the Giig It A Rest podcast, where Pitkin talks to people across the recruitment industry.

Giig is rated 4.9 on Trustpilot by more than 350 recruiters. Agencies can start for free at giighire.com.
