Sapia.ai offers rejected candidates AI career coaching through Love-jection

Candidate receiving career coaching outdoors

Sapia.ai has launched Love-jection, giving unsuccessful applicants access to an AI career coach built around their interview insights.

Sapia.ai has launched Love-jection, a new initiative designed to give unsuccessful applicants access to free AI career coaching based on insights from their interview.

Key takeaways

  • The initiative seeks to turn rejection into useful, evidence-led candidate feedback.
  • Employers receive only aggregated insights from confidential coaching conversations.
  • The product is designed to help candidates identify transferable strengths and suitable roles.

“Self-awareness is a gift, and rejection is the moment people need it most.”

Barb Hyman, Founder and CEO, Sapia.ai

The AI hiring platform said Love-jection gives clients a way to offer unsuccessful applicants free access to Phai, its AI career coach. The coach uses a candidate’s structured, text-based interview to summarise strengths, goals and working style, then offers guidance on potential next steps.

Sapia.ai said the approach is intended to address a familiar gap in the recruitment process: candidates who do not get the role rarely receive feedback that helps them move forward. The company says conversations are confidential, with employers seeing only aggregated insights.

Candidate experience as a brand moment

For high-volume employers, rejected applicants may also be customers. Sapia.ai says how an unsuccessful application feels can influence whether a person buys from a brand, recommends it or applies again.

Love-jection sits within the company’s Authentic Transparency initiative. Before an interview begins, candidates are told why AI is used, how it works and how fairness is measured. Candidates are assessed only on what they choose to share and receive personalised feedback on their strengths.

Phai can connect with an employer’s ATS or external job boards to suggest suitable open roles, giving candidates a possible next step after an unsuccessful application.
