Eden Brown boost local job search skills

Pathways to work is an project run by Family Mosaic, working in partnership with London Borough of Haringey and other organisations to arm local residents with the necessary skills to gain employment.

Leading UK recruitment specialist Eden Brown, was invited to lend its expertise in facilitating a three day employability skills course.

The course was targeted at a select group of 10 individuals who already had some work experience, but needed an extra helping hand getting into employment - whether returning to the workplace from full time parenting, or making the step from voluntary work placements into a paid position.

The skills training was conducted by Adrian Frapple, Senior Team Manager at Eden Brown and focussed on job search skills, interview techniques and CV writing, while interviews were held by his team of Consultants to give delegates an insight into the interview processes and help them sharpen up their techniques.

Frapple said: ìWhen Family Mosaic approached us to offer some training, we thought it was an excellent opportunity to give something back to local residents.

In fact, Eden Brown has already secured some of the attendees roles and as a couple of them have interviews those new skills will be well used. The attendeesí positive feedback and increased confidence in being able to find work, was a real testament as to how valuable the training was.î
