London, UK - StepStone today expanded its international network of online recruitment sites with the launch of ITJobbank.co.uk and arbeiten.de to drive job opportunities in the UK’s IT industry and Germany’s blue-collar market respectively. The new sites further strengthen StepStone’s position as one of the leading providers of online recruitment portals to enable organisations to attract and hire the best available talent.
Building on the success of its Danish IT recruitment site, IT-Jobbank.dk, StepStone has launched IT Jobbank.co.uk to provide specialist jobs for IT professionals based in Britain. Skilled IT professionals are in demand, with recent research from e-skills UK showing that more employers are experiencing skills shortages, and ITJobbank.co.uk aims to become a must-visit destination for UK organisations seeking IT talent.
During ITJobbank.co.uk’s beta testing phase, more than 70 companies have advertised in excess of 500 vacancies and more than 17,200 people visited the site.
In Germany, StepStone has extended its online presence into the blue-collar jobs market with the launch of arbeiten.de, the country’s first online recruitment portal to target this employment sector. The site covers key blue-collar occupations in logistics, production, handcraft, safety, care, gastronomy, tourism and cosmetics, offering full and part time positions and traineeships. arbeiten.de introduces innovative new functionality such as job alerts via text message to cater to occupations where employees don’t have direct access to computers as part of their everyday jobs.
Leading German newspapers Berliner Morgenpost, Hamburger Abendblatt and Berliner Woche have partnered with StepStone to drive job opportunities to arbeiten.de, with the site currently advertising more than 7,000 vacancies.
The launch of ITjobbank.co.uk and arbeiten.de not only extends StepStone’s online reach into significant new markets and industry sectors, but also provides important new channels for employers looking for candidates with specific skills, StepStone CEO, Colin Tenwick, said.
ITJobbank provides StepStone with a beach head into the UK online recruitment market and we believe arbeiten.de will not only remain the number one site for job opportunities in the blue collar market, but propel StepStone to become the number one online recruiter in Germany.
