Energetic Expansion for First People Solutions

First People Solutions, one of the UKís fastest growing recruitment and HR consultancies, has acquired specialist recruitment consultancy JOBACT Petrochem Ltd (JPL) in a 4million deal on Friday 12th October.

JOBACT services the oil and gas industry, as well as power, rail and other heavy industry sectors. Based in Surrey, the company has been delivering recruitment services throughout the UK and across the world for over eighteen years.

This is the second acquisition by First People Solutions in the oil and gas field, bringing further expertise to an already strong and respected technical team. First Peopleís technical, engineering and construction division currently supplies personnel within a comprehensive range of engineering disciplines, including the oil and gas, aviation, construction, civil engineering, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and rail industries.

It is expected that instrumentation and electrical specialists JPL will complement First People Tudor (formally Tudor Personnel recruitment consultancy) which was acquired in 2005 and focuses on providing piping and design contractors within the oil and gas industry across the UK and internationally.

The acquisition is predicted to take the First People Solutions Group (FPSG) turnover to over 70m in 2008 and is in line with the companyís ambitious growth strategy, which has seen additional offices open in London, Glasgow and Manchester over the past year. The company is also to be listed in the Sunday Times Fast Track due to its 87% year on year compound growth over the past three years.

FPSG provides recruitment solutions to the full business services sector, across a full range of vertical markets including IT, sales & marketing, banking & finance, contact centre, accountancy, business support, HR and health & social care and has seen substantial growth in all markets over the last year.
