Talent Technology Corporation, an award-winning provider of recruitment technology, today announced its first year among Software Magazineís Software 500 ñ a list now in its 25th year. Talent Technologyís first year among the worldís largest software companies placed it at #432.
Having recently announced that Talent Technology ranked No. 10 among the fastest growing companies in British Columbia, the Software 500 ranking now places us solidly among our industry peers, said Jade Bourelle, CEO of Talent Technology. Now, we intend to begin climbing the list by accomplishing our annual growth plans, Bourelle continued.
Robert Gordon, Chairman and COO of Talent Technology, added The Software 500 includes the companies we compete with, and partner with, every day. Every ìwhoís whoî at the top of the list started out just like us ñ a new addition with a drive to move up.
The Software 500 is a revenue-based ranking of the worldís largest software and services suppliers targeting medium to large enterprises, their IT professionals, software developers and business managers involved in software and services purchasing. The Software 500 helps CIOís, senior IT managers, and IT staff in creating their short list of business partners, said John P. Desmond, editor of Software Magazine and Softwaremag.com. It is a quick reference of vendor viability and that content is of value.
The industry continues to be dynamic, with more than 98 new companies on the list this year for the first time. Total employee head count is up 14.7% from the previous yearís Software 500, reversing the decline of last year, Desmond said. In addition, about 73% of the Software 500 companies saw revenue growth in 2006. Some 37% of the Software 500 companies are privately held.
