Demand for occupational psychometric assessment is growing at an unprecedented rate in Ireland, according to Claire Watson, MD of SHL Group, Ireland.

As a result of the demand, SHL Group, a world leading provider of psychometric assessment and development solutions, is to expand its numbers to include two business development managers and a senior consultant.

ìThere is a real market need for assessment and consultancy expertise and SHL is strongly positioned to help forward thinking Irish businesses to become more efficient through an understanding of their employees,î said Watson.

ìAs well as having a deep understanding of the local market, SHL can also provide global insight for those businesses working in international markets,î she added.

Former Mayor of Galway, William Burke, joins SHL as a business development manager. He has a strong business background having run his own business providing memory storage solutions to broadcast and financial institutions. He also spent 15 years as Director of European Operations for Mountgate Data Systems.

A second business development manager joins from Philip Morris. Claire McGarry was the Trade Development Manager at the world leading tobacco company where her key responsibility was to pilot and implement a national trade marketing programme.

Talent management and HR specialist, Kris Kosy joins as a senior consultant having spent several years working for international consulting companies including Hewitt Associates, Hudson Global Resources and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young. Kosy has delivered a number of projects in change management, designing HR functions and increasing employee motivation and engagement. Kris is also a lecturer in psychology at the University of Warsaw.
