RECís Chief Executive Officer steps down

The REC has announced with regret that Marcia Roberts, its Chief Executive Officer, has stood down from the post because of a serious illness.

Marcia joined the REC nearly seven years ago as its Director of External Relations then became its Deputy Chief Executive Officer. In September last year, she was appointed CEO and from the outset, with the approval of the membership, she committed herself to raising the bar for professional standards throughout the REC and the industry, and enforcing its Code of Practice.

Her legacy includes a very strong management team which has pledged to continue working towards achieving her vision of raising standards within the industry and creating the best possible environment in which REC members can do business. In the meantime, Helen Reynolds, Executive Director of RITE, has been appointed Acting Chief Executive Officer of the REC.
