The CIPDís latest quarterly Labour Market Outlook, based on a survey of 1, 300 employers, will be published on Monday, 16 May 2005 - just ahead of the publication of the Governmentís latest official jobless statistics on 18 May 2005. The survey provides invaluable data on HR trends in the current economic climate on subjects such as recruitment intentions or difficulties and likely wage costs pressures. And it also looks at some of the topical issues currently affecting the labour market, such as the migrant workers debate. Key findings to be published will show:
that a significant percentage of UK organisations plan to recruit migrant workers in the next three months;
UK employersí assessment of the standard of English attained by migrant workers;
why UK organisations are recruiting workers from abroad;
that UK organisations plan to recruit heavily this Summer.
