Forties People MD plans 10 branches in five years

Age diversity campaigner Spencer Jacobs is spreading the wings of his London-based Forties People recruitment agency

Age diversity campaigner Spencer Jacobs is spreading the wings of his London-based Forties People recruitment agency.

Jacobs plans a dramatic expansion which will grow the company to 10 branches in total over the next five years.

The first new branch of Forties People opens in Watford later this month (May) ñ ironically on his own 40th birthday.

He said: ìWe wanted to be open earlier but we had a few teething troubles with phone installation etc ñ so now the official launch is set for May 23rd.î

Forties People has won Government Age Diversity and Age Positive Awards and has been actively campaigning for the rights of older workers for the past decade.

Added Jacobs: ìDespite imminent legislation too any employers still have their heads in the sand when it comes to age diversity. The simple fact is that 36% of the UK workforce is now aged 45 or over. These are people with invaluable life experience and have a great deal to offer the commercial world.î

The High Street-Watford branch will be managed by 47 year old Pam Sinclair ñ a recruitment specialist with 27 years experience in the profession.
