The methodology behind the results of the 2007 Inc. 5,000 list included measuring revenue growth from 2003 through 2006. To qualify for the award, companies were required to meet specific criteria; the businesses had to be U.S.-based, privately held and independent. In addition, they had to meet minimum revenue amounts for 2003 and 2006.
