The British Business Club is one of the fastest growing Business Owners organisations. Since its launch in April 2000, it has grown into one of the UKís largest group of like-minded entrepreneurs in 40 cities and 36 countries around the globe. Its network resources and activities (database, monthly regional meetings) provide the crucial business contacts many companies need in order to achieve further growth and success.
academici ñ The Virtual Academy is the only academic social networking site with thousands of members across all academic disciplines drawn from over 130 countries. Prof Dr Markus Vinzent (University of Birmingham), one of the founders of academici, states ìacademici provides a community building platform uniting researchers, teachers, and the people who finance research.î Some such communities are for example the forums on British CEOs and Academics, Ethical Consulting & Leadership, Social Networking, Online MBAs, Advanced Business Models and Press.
The aim of the cooperation is to build stronger bridges between industry and academia, encourage businesses and industry to access and use the universitiesí research and development resources, and to help academics understand the benefits and potential pitfalls of working with business and industry. For this purpose, the partners have created a joint interactive community for chief executives and academics. academici is complementing the regional networking meetings of The British Business Club as their online networking place, and both networks have agreed a joint free basic membership and a discounted joint double-premium membership.
