Regus recieves internet security award

regus.com]For the second year in succession, the Check Point Software Technologies Customer Excellence Award for Outstanding Internet Security Implementation in the European market has been awarded to Regus, the leading global operator of business centres.

As part of the RegusNet IT connectivity services the company provides to more than 3,000 businesses using its business centres, it installs a Check Point Firewall-1 at every location. This provides protection to client networks and prevents unsolicited access to systems.

Regus was chosen as the recipient of the Annual Check Point Customer Excellence Award, from thousands of users, for its innovative, expansive and detailed use of Check Point security solutions, comments Herv Bourgeois, Vice President, EMAE for Check Point Software Technologies (nasdaq:chkp). We particularly wanted to highlight Regus for its impressive installation of more than 370 firewall modules to monitor both its own systems and customer networks.

It would not have been cost-effective to establish a firewall network of this scale using conventional leased line and dial technology, comments Simon Barnby, Regus'' managing director of global technology. Receiving this award is vindication of the effort we have out in to making sure that our centres have the best protection available, but the real winners are our clients who gain from having secure, fast, managed and low cost protection.
