.

Recruitment boss, Richard Lawrance, whose business Resourcing Solutions Ltd is the specialist in delivering mission critical permanent and contract staff to companies across the construction and engineering sectors, completed his fifth Marathon on 30 September 2007.

The marathon which took place in Berlin is ranked as one of the five world major marathons alongside those taking place in Boston, Chicago, London and New York. Starting and finishing near the Brandenburg Gate, one of Berlin's most famous landmarks, the Berlin marathon course takes in some of Berlin's notable landmarks such as the Reichstag and Berliner Dom.

Competing against 40,000 runners, Richard rocketed through the finishing line with an official time of 3 hours and 14 minutes. The 26.2 mile course saw Richard finish the race with a personal best time, knocking off 4 minutes and 21 seconds from his previous time. This latest triumph comes after he completed the 111th Boston Marathon in April this year when he ran the course in 3 hours and 40 minutes. This was Richardís fifth marathon, having run the London Marathon in both 2005 and 2006.

Speaking about his run in Berlin and his ambition to complete the World Marathon Majors, Richard said: ìItís a real accomplishment to have completed this fifth run. Iím extremely competitive and finishing in the first 10% of the field was a key goal. Iíll be entering the Chicago Marathon next year and running that race will see me achieving a personal goal of running all 5 World Marathon Majors.î
