ëBuilding your Businessí ñ a valuable piece of research and insight on todayís workplace issues

To celebrate the opening of the branch, Randstad have launched their first Employment Survey 2007/08 ëBuilding your Businessí ñ a valuable piece of research and insight on todayís workplace issues.

Key findings of the survey include:

ï Flexible working features most among high growth businesses. Two-thirds (65%) of those who offer it believe it increases productivity. Employees are more likely to be attracted to work for an organisation offering flexible working

ï The majority of employers (56%) say that, compared to three years ago they now place more emphasis on peopleís attitudes and personality when recruiting

ï Higher growth companies are giving highest priority to the role of line managers. Line manager support for the development of their team members is crucial in boosting job satisfaction and satisfied workers tend to be more productive

For three years running Randstad has featured in the Sunday Timesí Best 100 Companies to work forí most recently 41st place, which reflects the fact that not only do they research contemporary employment issues but also apply the learning to their own organisation.

Fred van der Tang, Managing Director of Randstad UK said: ìThe new London office is a natural extension of our already vibrant UK operations. We believe that our approach to doing business, getting to know our clients and taking care to match the right person to the right jobówill continue to hit the right note with the London recruitment market, especially when working with high-end commercial clients.
