PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP new head of student recruitment, Sonja Stockton, has launched the firmís 2008 recruitment programme for the UKís top graduate employer.
Bringing over 15 years experience of recruitment, learning and development, Sonja Stockton leads the firmís new nationwide school and graduate recruitment programme ñëPwC Experienceí. As part of the university roadshows, students can try out the PricewaterhouseCoopers Carbon Gym to cycle, lift or race their way to off-set some of their carbon emissions.
Commenting on her appointment, and the launch of the recruitment programme, Sonja Stockton, head of UK student recruitment, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, said:
ìIím passionate about ensuring people receive the highest quality learning and development experiences that build both their technical and business leadership skills, so am delighted to have the opportunity to lead the overall student recruitment programme and bring new talent into PricewaterhouseCoopers.
ìWhether students want to join the firm via work experience, our school leaver programme or graduate training scheme, our aim is to ensure that we bring the PricewaterhouseCoopers experience and culture to life on campus, and our Carbon Gym is just one of the ways we can do that. Through our skills seminars, open days or reception evenings, we want to continue to attract the highest quality and diversity of students in the UK.î
The 2008 graduate recruitment programme, launched this month, places an emphasis on climate change and reducing carbon emissions. Students at universities across the UK have the opportunity to find out more about the firm, its intern and graduate programmes, attend personal skills sessions, and find out more about how they can take action on climate change.
The ëPwC Experienceí graduate programme provides a totally new and different firmwide framework for the development of students in their early years at PricewaterhouseCoopers. The scheme provides unrivalled opportunities to work across multiple service and industry areas, while still providing dedicated specialist roles for those that want to get deep experience in one area of the firm.
