IFC recruitment has been created as a pioneer Job board dedicated exclusively to the international finance & offshore industry.

IFC recruitment has been created as a pioneer Job board dedicated exclusively to the international finance & offshore industry.

Dan Warren who created the site has 15 years experience in the Media Industry, and while working for a Large Job Board realised that there was not a relevant online product dedicated solely to the ever increasing recruitment sector of offshore finance professionals. This came about through contacts with the largest circulating annual print product within the offshore marketing sector.

Relationships were quickly established with major offshore publications, and with a lot of advice and direction from traditional print products IFC Recruitment Launched in October 2007. Close Links were also quickly established with an already established editorial online product - LowTax.net.

With some good but sometimes hard to swallow advice from these already established products in the market place IFC Recruitment.com launched as a modern & refreshing recruitment product within a conservative market place ñ just goes to show that against all stereo types. Media owners are capable of working together.

Why is this offshore recruitment a growing market?
The word ìoffshoreî has evolved to mean more than just what it says on the tin. As the finance world grows larger and becomes increasingly intertwined, simply knowing how to invest a clientís money into an overseas bank account is just not enough. Large communities and cities that have built up reputations as being low tax havens in The Far East, the Caribbean & around the globe have become subject to ever increasing pressures & laws; So much so that Wealth Management Professionals have had to become increasingly knowledgeable in the way they handle their clientís money.

The International Monetary Fund considers the following to be characteristics of an offshore financial centre:

ï Jurisdictions that have relatively large numbers of financial institutions engaged primarily in business with non-residents;

ï Financial systems with external assets and liabilities out of proportion to domestic financial intermediation designed to finance domestic economies; and

ï Centers which provide some or all of the following services: low or zero taxation; moderate or light financial regulation; banking secrecy and anonymity.

The word offshore now has many different meanings and is the cause of much debate between tax & finance professionals. What is certain is that the individuals who work in this field have to be experts to understand the complexities of international money markets & tax law. One of the many misconceptions about recruiting into the offshore market place is that candidates have to be based outside of the UK. The reality is that these experts can be based anywhere in the world the only pre-requisite being- expertise!

Workers in this industry would consider themselves as Wealth Management Professionals and typically include: tax lawyers, accountants, financial sales professionals & private bankers who are responsible for managing their clientís money by utilising protocols and companies in International finance centres across the globe.

The only way at the moment to advertise to these individuals is to use traditional non targeted job boards and non offshore specific journals.

www.ifcrecruitment.com is a targeted website working very closely with traditional press products in the market place to bring a serious recruitment alternative to traditional job boards. Using data from established yearly magazines in the market, IFC Recruitment predicts it will be attracting over 20,000 unique users per month to its website. We have utilised marketing links with The IFC Review magazine (the largest circulating annual magazine in the offshore market) to be able to reach their 12,500 individual readers and will be using S.E.M and reciprocal links on some of the editorially focused already established websites to attract large numbers of financial & legal wealth professionals.

The site was created believing that all the relevant press alternatives that target this industry are monthly or yearly journals hence not an attractive proposition to recruitment advertisers.

www.ifcrecruitment is at last bringing recruitment issues to this hard to reach audience.
