New graduate site launched

.

Global company Smiths Group are leading the way in youth recruitment with the launch of a far-reaching new website.

Smiths are hoping to boost recruitment of graduates and other young people with the site, which features job vacancies, careers advice and forums, and even information on student life and clubbing.

Mike Fieldhouse, e-Business director of site developers JobPositive, said: This site creates a centre of excellence for graduate recruitment, with advice, case studies and online discussion forums. It focuses not only on jobs for graduates, but also for school and college leavers, those seeking modern apprenticeships, and other young people.

The site, at www.whatsnext4u.com, has already attracted 2,387 visitors in its first 4 weeks.

Those who register online receive a credit card-sized CD-Rom which features an interactive candidate quiz, Where Will You Fit In Smiths?, more detailed case studies, further information about Smiths Group, downloadable application forms, and desktop wallpaper.

Smiths Group have also commissioned JobPositive to develop two more sites. Smiths Internal Jobs gives all 38,000 employees details of every vacancy across 40 countries. And Smiths Aerospace is an external jobs site focusing on engineering roles, which goes live in July this year.

JobPositive is a sister company of recruitment advertising agency RAA Sprague Gibbons, and forms part of website specialists PositiveGroup. Other clients include Mitsubishi Corporation and the SFI Group, owners of the Bar Med and Slug and Lettuce bar chains.
