New Division rolls out just wright

Birmingham-based nationwide building services provider J S Wright is bucking the economic downturn by expanding its new maintenance and facilities management division.

The company, which was recently voted the UKís Mechanical and Electrical Services Contractor of the Year, has made three further appointments and boosted its new van fleet to help meet growing demand.

Its new maintenance and FM division provides a ëwhole-lifeí service for all buildings that extends from designing and installing systems to warranty work and gas boiler commissioning, as well as ongoing work.

Former Birmingham apprentice Ben Wright has joined the division as a facilities engineer handling domestic and commercial plumbing north of London. Based at its Aston headquarters, the highly experienced building services specialist previously worked for a number of Midland-based sub-contractors serving clients ranging from Punch Taverns to Tesco.

Jackie Bathgate, also based in Birmingham, has been promoted from receptionist to facilities administrator. Having joined J S Wright eight years ago, she is now the first point of contact for customers requiring defect liability and warranty work, and arranges all job appointments.

James Tello has strengthened the divisionís London team as an operative handling maintenance and gas engineering work throughout the capital and the South East. The NVQ-trained plumber has already worked on installation projects for J S Wright, including its major new Angel Wharf residential scheme in the capital for developer Mount Anvil.

The company has also expanded its fleet of fully branded Peugeot Partner vans, all decked out as mobile workshops with all the equipment required for end-to-end domestic, commercial and industrial building support.

Jack Coulter, maintenance and facilities management manager, said: ìThe new division has got off to a flying start and I am delighted to welcome such skilled and experienced people to the team to help us meet the growing demand. With work streaming in from all quarters, we are even looking to recruit another operative before the end of the year.î
