Intellect appoints Sales Director

.

Intellect, has announced the appointment of David Mason as Sales Director - a new role created in line with the company's continuing market expansion. During 2002, Intellect launched a series of new solutions under its existing Workforce HR and personnel management software banner, consolidating a leading market position within
the UK public sector and commercial markets. The new post underlines Intellect's focus on further expansion during 2003, developing into new business areas and growing all aspects of the organisation.

Managing Director Peter Cullum explains the rationale:
ìDavid's appointment builds on a series of developments that we kicked off during 2002, representing an important shift of focus towards new market opportunities and business solutions. We are known as market innovators for
our acclaimed Workforce software, which has a track record of more than 10 years, and over 10,000 users around the UK. We are now moving towards a broader business focus, requiring a dynamic driving force to take us forward
with this plan.

David is without doubt that force - he knows our market
inside out, and has achieved substantial success during his many years with Rebus. This is one of the most exciting phases of Intellect's long history.

We are expanding - unlike many of our competitors - and evolving a pioneering set of new solutions, in line with a confident vision and solid market basis.î

David Mason brings extensive sales leadership experience to Intellect, gained from over 11 years within Rebus HR (UK) Ltd - formerly known as Peterborough Software (UK) Ltd, where he was latterly Joint Sales Director.

He led the company's move into the US market, with responsibility for liaising with the chosen US consultants to adapt the product, as well as launching joint sales and marketing campaigns. In the UK, he co-led the
Rebus HR (UK) sales transition in support of strategic corporate requirements for HRIS software products, increasing revenue by over 3 million in a two-year period. He also has extensive expertise in the
e-business domain, setting up a US web-based payroll service to support in-house and outsourced payroll contracts.

Headquartered in St Albans, Intellect offers a comprehensive range of HR and payroll solutions, with a wide-ranging customer base. Users include the
country's largest unitary authority - Bristol County Council - as well as a host of public sector organisations. In the commercial market, it numbers
many blue chip companies in its client base, including Skanska Construction Group, Allders Department Stores, Group 4, Glaxo-Wellcome, Pubmaster, and Golden Wonder. Intellect is committed to innovation in personnel management, offering business consultancy and specialist expertise gained from an exclusive HR market focus. Its highly flexible and technically pioneering human resource software is designed to reflect real-world HR needs, combined with the ability to evolve and meet changing business needs over time.
