The Celebration of Enterprise award began in 1997 and identifies the most notable up-and-coming companies in Collin County, Texas that embrace the entrepreneurial spirit. In order to be eligible for the award, a company must be privately held, have headquarters in Collin County, be financially successful and have met a need in the marketplace even though it required taking a risk.
Collin County is one of the fastest growing, highest per-capita income counties in the nation and in one of the best business environments – the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Notable corporations that are also based in Collin County include JC Penney, FritoLay, EDS, and Raytheon.
