Gail Franks is new managing director of Summersault Communications

Highly successful publishing and online media director Gail Franks has been appointed managing director of Summersault Communications, the acclaimed employee, customer and business communications publisher which this year has won several of the industryís major national awards.

Gail brings a wealth of industry knowledge and technical experience from the publishing and journalistic sectors, in print and online, having established and built up two successful companies. This included creating an international office in the United States.

From 2005 until joining Summersault, Gail was joint managing director of Wildfire Communications, the leading publishing and online media company. This resulted from selling her own company Franx Publishing to E3 Media / Wildfire, having launched her enterprise in 1997 and built it to be a major business.

At Wildfire Communications Gail integrated and continued to build the business. During this period she successfully increased turnover four fold and developed the companyís contract publishing arm and its strategic shareholder partnerships. She was responsible for a portfolio of media titles and online media / websites such as ëBBC Comedy Soupí as well as the award winning charity website AdoptionUK.com.

Gail also founded and edited the now globally established ëIrish Dancing magazineí and associated online community website which is now distributed across 32 countries worldwide. She also launched the annual Animation Directory and relaunched Imagine, the UKís only magazine devoted to the animation industry.

For ten years before founding Franx Publishing, Gail was joint managing director of Arnold Associates, developing many leading blue chip clients including Intel, Taylor-Woodrow and the BBC.
