Double print run for pocket prospects directory in 2003

For job-seeking final year students

Final year students can pocket a boost to their prospects

CSU, the higher education Careers Services Unit, has doubled the print run of its latest edition of Pocket Prospects, the pocket-sized directory of graduate employers aimed at job-seeking final year students and first introduced to rave reviews last year.

The full colour directory presents updated information on graduate employers featured in CSUís annual Prospects Directory (distributed every September) who are still offering vacancies or accepting applications from January onwards. This latest version also contains additional information to help students still uncertain about their career choices

Mike Hill, CSUís chief executive, comments: ìPocket Prospects refreshes and updates the Prospects Directory mid-year. It helps students by highlighting graduate employers still accepting applications, and benefits employers by directing traffic to both the on-line profile on Prospects.ac.uk and to their own home page.

ìThe 2002 directory was so popular that this year we have doubled the print run to 100,000 copies to keep pace with demand.î

Pocket Prospects also includes profiles of 150 graduate recruiters from all industry sectors, and has been sponsored by PricewaterhouseCoopers. Each entry in the directory includes a mini profile of the employer and full details of the relevant web links to help students act quickly in their search for a job.

Editorial in the directory includes sections on key industry areas such as retail, technology, marketing and sales and media, as well as information on careers web sites and on-line services. Also included in each section are profiles of recent graduates giving their insight into what it is actually like to work within the industry.

Copies of Pocket Prospects are now available to final year students through their university Careers Services and Graduate Recruitment Fairs.
