The Bright Futures Society – the largest UK student society focused on careers & developing studentsí skills is playing its part in preparing graduates to secure jobs in this tough economic climate.

Students from the Bright Futures Society featured on Monday in the Channel 4 programme ëDispatchesí. ëThe Great Job Huntí was presented by Lord Digby Jones and looked at what is being done to help people from all walks of life in the UK find work.

Lord Jones made it clear that students leaving education this summer have got to a focus for Government. The Bright Futures Society provides students in over 30 Universities with the opportunity to both, develop the skills employers seek and network with graduate recruiters.

ìPreparing undergraduates for the tough economic climate is more important than everî, commented Simon Reichwald, Managing Director of Bright Futures. ìEmployers this year will be even more demanding of the graduates they recruit and the right skills and understanding of the industry & company will play a major part in deciding who to recruit and who not. The Bright Futures Society has for over 30 years been involved in helping undergraduates to help themselves when it comes to their career. Enabling our students to take personal responsibility for their future is critical to their success and thus a core principle of the Society.î
