Forty-five percent of households in the UK now have Internet access, according to The Independent newspaper.
New figures from Oftel indicate that 11 million homes, or 45 percent of all homes, are now online, up from 30 percent last year.
This growth is thought to have been driven by the growth in ìunlimited accessî Internet subscriptions.
