Staffordshire-based solicitors Knights are running a seminar for the directors and senior managers of local businesses to help in exploring the new legislation surrounding the new Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007, which comes into force on April 6th.
The seminar, which will take place on Thursday 17th April between 4pm and 6pm and be repeated on 6th May between 10am and 12 noon, will be presented at the offices of Knights by partner and solicitor Mark Whitehouse, an experienced employment law specialist.
Mark will explore the new regulations on Corporate Manslaughter, or Corporate Homicide in Scotland, and the implications for owner-managed and other businesses. There will be a question and answer session allowing delegates to raise specific issues.
Some of the topics covered in the seminar will include key changes introduced by the new Act, responsibilities and risks and how to minimise the risk of liability.
Mark comments: ìOur workshops are designed to provide practical advice and guidance, together with solutions for dealing with potential problems. It is important to be aware of the new regulations as organisations could be prosecuted if a fatality has occurred as a result of their incompetence.î
