The new partnership brings together Oilcareers.comís six years of experience at the forefront of online recruitment in the oil and gas industry, with the brand equity of Gastech, which is the leading international event for the global gas industry. The new site caters specifically for the recruitment needs of the growing gas industry which is currently facing serious skill shortages across a number of professions and territories.

Gastech Jobs will instantly feature relevant vacancies from the 6,000 currently posted on Oilcareers.com, offering jobseekers vacancies to search and opening up Oilcareers vacancies to a wider audience. The new site is expected to flourish from launch, as it immediately brings together a wide ranging set of global gas vacancies and a new potential skilled workforce to market to.

The new partnership is an immediate benefit for Oilcareers following its acquisition by Associated Northcliffe Digital (AND), a division of the Daily Mail and General Trust, in February 2008, providing access to mutually beneficial partners. Following the acquisition Oilcareers.com now forms part of ANDís recruitment division under the guidance of Jobsite (www.jobsite.co.uk) which leads ANDís fast growing portfolio of recruitment sites.

Commenting on the partnership, Keith Potts, CEO of Jobsite and ANDís recruitment division said; ìOilcareers.com is proud to be the official recruitment partner of Gastech 2008. The new site not only leverages the brand equity of one of the worldís most respected energy events but instantly taps into the networking potential of the thousands of individuals at the event, creating a fantastic opportunity for recruiters and candidates alike. Existing Oilcareers clients will instantly benefit from wider exposure of their vacancies, whilst jobseekers will almost certainly benefit from the longer term international vacancies this will bring to the site. ì

Brian Nolk, Vice President of the energy sector at dmg world media says ìNow the largest international event for the LNG, LPG and natural gas industries, Gastech offers a unique platform to exchange information, discover the latest technical innovations and explore collaborations that shape the development and growth of this global industry. We believe Gastech Jobs can play a vital role in helping to solve one of the industryís most pressing issues ñ recruitment and skills shortages ñ and will become a key resource for those in the oil and gas industry to both find and fill vacancies.
