Voyager software, the recruitment agency software specialist, today lays down the green gauntlet in an effort to help businesses of all sizes implement ëgreení recruitment policies and procedures. The company is offering free consultancy to all UK recruitment companies on how they can minimise their impact on the environment, by reducing the amount of waste created by printing out needless pieces of paper.
The ëGo-Greení effort is a light-hearted attempt to raise environmental awareness amongst the UK recruitment sector, which wastes a large amount of paper each year printing out CVs, Job specs, payslips, timesheets and invoices all of which could be viewed and submitted electronically.
Paul Thompson, Director of Sales and Marketing at Voyager said, ìAs a whole the industry needs to do more to combat the impact of our industry on the environment. In the current climate recruiters should be thinking about trees not CVs.
ìWith practically all CVs, timesheets, payslips and invoices being held electronically, there is very little reason for agencies to print them out. We thought we would help advise companies on how they can turn off the printer and make the most of technology to reduce this wastage.
If you are looking to do more contact Voyager at gogreen@voyage.co.uk and provide them with details of where you need help. The Voyager Software Go Green help is free until the February 14th ñ Love your treeís!
