Carter unveils plans for 2008

Steve Carter, Managing Director of Premier Groupís UK operations which currently comprises the Nigel Lynn finance and la crme office support brands, has unveiled ambitious plans for growth during 2008.

ìThere have been some predictable rumblings in the market place about us consolidating branches,î says Carter, ìbut in fact we have pursued our strategy of moving into major city centres. Initially we relocated our Bristol operation to a ëlandmarkí city building; a new Manchester city centre operation was established which had previously been located in Altrincham, our Hemel and Hertford branches are being amalgamated into a larger St Albans office this year and we are currently building a brand new Birmingham city centre team to complement our Leamington operation which is a clear market leader in the area. Furthermore, we have enhanced our working environment in our successful Crawley and Cheltenham branches with brand new offices and although our Guildford operation is young, its growth has already seen us begin the search for additional office space. The London team has just relocated to ëThe Eyeí close to Holborn Station which has the capacity for over 100 consultants.î

During 2008, despite the ongoing speculation about a likely economic slowdown, Carter expects strong growth and says that they will pursue new opportunities both in new specialist markets and geographical locations. ìThe group has a spread of business across several industry sectors and has achieved a good balance between temporary and permanent recruitment. This gives us the opportunity to manage almost every eventuality ñ whatever the economic climate.î
