Jobs at the end of the rainbow? New graduate fair website for London and Thames Gateway goes live.
The new website for the London & Thames Gateway Graduate Recruitment Fair has gone live for visitor registrations, more than two weeks ahead of schedule.
www.gradfairlondon.co.uk, with itsí funky graphics and rainbow palette is as striking as it is informative. Whilst the promise might not always be a job at the end of the rainbow, a chance to meet some of the regions' leading companies is on offer.
The comprehensive website gives all of the core information you would expect to see on an event website, as well as a good amount of background information and leads to help provide a bit more of a perspective to the event.
Summaries of major projects are invited from organisations and regeneration agencies across the region for inclusion under ìImportant Developmentsî within the ìAbout Usî section.
Godwin Ohajah, MD of the Satsuma Consultancy, producers of the show, said, ìThe idea is that over time the website can act as an ongoing resource for those with a wider interest in whatís going on across London and the Thames Gateway, in terms of job-creating opportunities. Thatís why itís important that press officers across the region keep as updated with major projects and initiatives that relate to skills and employment opportunities. î
One hope is that the website will also help to communicate a wider and more reflective definition of the Thames Gateway footprint, helping visitors to both the show and the website gain a better idea of the projects and the geography of the Thames Gateway.
Career-related press releases are also invited from exhibiting companies and sponsors, for consideration within the ìNewsî section, which again will stay live long after the show.
Visitors can pre-register for fast track entry to the event, with the added bonus of free entry to a prize draw.
The London & Thames Gateway Graduate Recruitment Fair takes place on 4th & 5th April 2008 at ExCeL London. The event is free for visitors and as well as seminars and presentations there should also be a chance to find out more about career and job opportunities leading up to the London 2012 Olympic & Paralympics Games.
