Syntax Recruitment opens Berlin office

Syntax Recruitment, the East Midlandsí largest independently owned IT and technical recruitment consultancy, is expanding into mainland Europe by opening an office in Berlin.

The company, based in College Place, Derby, has made the move in response to its nationwide clientsí growing recruitment needs beyond the UK ñ either to work here or in mainland Europe.

Syntax Recruitment Managing Director Roger Frost explained: ìOur own research and feedback from our clients has shown that there is a strong skills base in IT and engineering in Germany which we want to tap into.

ìHowever the complicated nature of the recruitment industry in Germany means that it is difficult to source candidates there unless you are operating from within the country.

ìWe therefore started negotiations with a former colleague who has since branched out into mainland Europe and plan to be operational in Berlin by Easter.

ìThis is an exciting move for the company and is made all the more easy by the ease of travel between both countries via East Midlands Airport.î

Syntax Recruitment has been established since 1987 and was one of four finalists in the Derbyshire Business Awards 2007.
