Global specialist recruitment giant works with Simpson Associates and Cognos to deliver accurate company information for improved decision making.

Cognos has announced that Michael Page International has joined the list of Cognosí $1million customers.

The professional recruitment consultancy has chosen Cognos to provide full performance management across the global organisation, with implementation of the range of Cognos products starting early next year. Cognos will help to deliver relevant and accurate company information to decision makers across the organisation.

Simpson Associates, a Cognos partner, will be working to define the project scope and help to deliver the Performance Management solution.

Cognos 8 Controller will be the first stage of the implementation replacing an existing in-house solution for consolidation and managements reporting.

ìAs our business expands rapidly over more territories and disciplines, our existing consolidation system was increasingly resource-intensive to maintain and develop. As a result, we decided to replace the current system with technology that would provide us with a best practice Performance Management platform,î said Kelvin Stagg, Group Financial Controller at Michael Page International.

ìCognos was not the obvious solution as we already had an incumbent reporting environment. But Simpson Associates understood our requirements and convinced us that it could deliver the complete breadth of performance management ñ business intelligence, key performance indicators and scorecarding, as well as planning applications ñ all on the Cognos platform. The Cognos and Simpson Associates teams are very strong on advice and expertise, which was a key driver for selecting to work with them.î

ìMichael Pageís decision to choose a fully integrated solution from a single vendor is testament to the growing need companies are seeing for strong performance management. When it comes to consolidating information across multiple territories, languages and currencies, forward-looking companies like Michael Page International are embracing the need for one complete proven technology platform,î said Graham Walter, vice president of Cognos UK, Middle East and South Africa. ìNo matter where they are based, senior executives at the company will now be able to review and plan from the same data and company intelligence.î
