City bosses treat their PAís to a day of pampering in aid of NSPCC

Two hundred and fifty of the Cityís top PAís enjoyed an afternoon of pampering at the NSPCCís fifth annual PAmper event

Two hundred and fifty of the Cityís top PAís enjoyed an afternoon of pampering at the NSPCCís fifth annual PAmper event (Friday 30 November). The glamorous event sponsored by office support and secretarial recruitment specialists Crone Corkill, helped raise over 30,000 for the childrenís charity.

PAís from firms including Old Mutual plc, Ansbacher and Oracle enjoyed a champagne reception and gourmet three-course lunch at the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel, Park Lane.

The highlight of the afternoon was a speech by Pen Hadow, modern-day explorer and the first person in history to sledge from Canada to the North Geographic Pole without any outside help. Pen talked of the emotions he felt after finally achieving his goal at the third attempt.

After lunch, to ensure that all the PAís felt truly pampered, the PAmper room was opened offering treatments including manicures and massages. One lucky raffle winner also went home with a diamond pendant worth 1,200 donated by jeweller Dower and Hall.

Event Chair and PA at ABN AMRO Bank, Christine Fellini said: ìPAmper is the perfect way for bosses to show their appreciation to their PA for all their hard work during the year. Not only will their PA have had a memorable afternoon but they will also be supporting a fantastic cause.î

NSPCC head of special events, Sophie Hutchinson said: ìPAmper is a great event which keeps growing and growing. Itís a wonderful opportunity to toast a successful year and be well and truly spoilt for the day, with the money raised helping us to continue our vital work to protect children from neglect and abuse.î
