beCogent wins Remploy award

beCogent has shone through in Remployís annual 'Leading the Way' awards by becoming the Scottish Winner in the large organisation category.

The awards scheme is all about acknowledging organisations, of all sectors and sizes, who are adopting best practice and progressive thinking in the employment of disabled people and people with health conditions.

beCogent won the award as it leads the way in enabling disabled people to realise their working potential. The company is able to demonstrate and implement policies that enable disabled people to fully participate in and benefit from long-term employment.

Remploy is the UKís provider of specialist employment services for disabled people and those who face complex barriers to employment.

By entering the awards beCogent demonstrated a mindset and a commitment to diversity, learning and improvement. There are three types of organisational awards; small employer for organisations between one and 100 employees, medium employer for organisations with 101-1000 employees and large employer organisations with 1001 employees. Along with this, there are three other organisation awards ñ the learning award, innovation award and employee retention award.

beCogent will now progress to the national awards final which will be held at Victoria Park Plaza Hotel in London on Monday 15th October. Richard Farleigh from BBC TVís Dragons Den will present the overall awards to the national winners which will be announced on the day.
