My main priority has been to move the recruitment process on to the internet wherever possible, said Adrian Kerr, Assistant Head of HR-Recruitment at Enfield Council. Too much bureaucracy and paper form-filling is costly, time-consuming, bad for the environment and puts people off applying for jobs in the first place.
Using Monster.co.uk, job advertisements online were made accessible to the diverse range of applicants in the area through the council's free internet access in libraries and information centres. Monster's advanced candidate search techniques such as geographical targeting supported the requirement to reduce time spent finding suitable local candidates.
