Nabarro wins best undergraduate internship programme

Nabarro wins best undergraduate internship programme at the target national graduate recruitment awards

City law firm Nabarro has won the award for ëBest Undergraduate Internship/Vacation Programmeí at The Target National Graduate Recruitment Awards 2007.

The award was judged by an expert panel according to a range of categories including innovation and best practice in the design, structure, implementation and evaluation of the programme, quality of work carried out by students and student responses.

Students from a variety of educational institutions attend Nabarro during its Summer Scheme Assessment Days and the Scheme itself. In 2006, 21 of the 24 training contract offers made (90%), were to Summer Scheme participants, with a 100% acceptance rate.

This accolade is also reflected in the feedback from scheme students. One 2006 Summer School student commented: ìFantastic scheme. Extremely efficient and well organisedÖthe support we received from graduate recruitment was exceptional.î Another very memorable comment from a 2006 student was: ìLike the advert goes: ëIf Carlsberg did summer schemes, theyíd probably be the best in the worldí. But Nabarro do, and they are.î

Simon Johnston, Senior Partner at Nabarro, comments: ìThis is a great achievement which we are very pleased to accept. We are very proud of our internship programme, and are constantly reviewing it to ensure it provides our graduates with the best possible training. Weíve worked hard to make Nabarro a great place to learn as the development of our trainees and promotion from within is a key to our growth.î

The announcement was made at the Awards evening, held on Wednesday 2 May 2007. The other shortlists for the award were Barclays Capital, BP, Deutsche Bank, IBM Extreme Blue, and National Grid.
