But people management professionals need to work in partnership with their IT team to ensure they are making the right choices for their organisation.

The CIPDís HR Software Show 2007 will give practitioners an opportunity to explore how technology can be used to deliver and support HR activities. This yearís show features a full programme of free showcase presentations, including findings from the CIPD research, alongside an exhibition of leading suppliers and industry specialists.

Showcase speakers include:

- George Bishop, Personnel Director, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea on selecting and implementing a new HR IT System

- Bobby Davis, Group People Director of Hanover Housing on choosing the right HR software to achieve strategic organisational success

New launches and previews at the exhibition will also provide further insights into latest technological developments supporting the HR function. The event is co-located with a new recruitment exhibition, highlighting the growing use of web-based tools in the recruitment and talent management process.
