In response to a growing demand for high quality finance directors to work with private equity backed businesses, Directorbank has further strengthened its specialist finance director division with the appointment of George Heppenstall as account director.
He joins John Pearce, who was appointed in 2005 to lead and develop Directorbankís activity in this core area of the business. John, a senior figure in the finance director recruitment market, was one of the team of three involved in Directorbankís management buy-out last year and sits on the Directorbank Board.
Directorbank is the UKís leading source of chairmen, non executive directors, chief executives and finance directors servicing the private equity and wider corporate market. George Heppenstallís appointment follows an explosion in growth in the finance director division since the management buy-out.
George, 32, completed his business education at Hull University and has a nine-year background in finance recruitment. His previous employment at Hitchenor Maher began in 1998. The company was bought by Imprint Plc in 2005.
ìI worked with John Pearce for seven years and I believe as a team we complement each other well. I have considerable experience of direct recruitment in the corporate sector, so the opportunity to operate also within the PE market alongside John is a real attraction for me, ìsaid George.
Elizabeth Jackson, chief executive of Directorbank said: ìThe private equity market is performing particularly well and the demand for specific finance director skills is increasing in line with that growth. At Directorbank we pride ourselves on being a dynamic, responsive organisation and Georgeís appointment reflects our recognition that the time is right to build on the successes and strengthen our position is this market.î
