Cubiks appoints David Lawton as New UK Country Head

Cubiks today announced the appointment of David Lawton as its new UK Country Head

Cubiks, the international assessment and development consultancy that specialises in the development of online psychometric instruments, today announced the appointment of David Lawton as its new UK Country Head.

David joins Cubiks from Water for Fish where he held the position of Director of Assessment. He is a highly experienced assessment consultant and business developer who has helped many major blue-chip employers to improve the effectiveness of their recruitment, selection and management development processes.

David was previously responsible for building the outsourced selection process used to recruit for Fast Track teachers for the Department for Education and Skills ñ a high profile multi-million pound project. In addition, he led the development of the new National Firefighter Selection process for the Fire and Rescue Service.

David plays an active role in the Association for Graduate Recruiters and recently authored its best practice guide on online testing. He takes a keen interest in employer branding issues and is particularly keen on ensuring that organisations use their selection processes to reinforce and reflect the employer brand.

David joins Cubiks at an exciting time. Since its establishment in January 2000, the company has quickly developed an outstanding reputation for the design of advanced psychometric assessment systems and highly creative HR consultancy solutions. Using bespoke online tools such as on personality assessments, ability tests, situational judgement questionnaires and dynamic in-box exercises, Cubiks has helped major public and private sector employers to generate substantial efficiency gains, enhance their employer brand and significantly reduce assessment and development expenditure.

In 2005 Cubiks helped the Cabinet Office to secure the Personnel Today Award for Excellence in HR through Technology following its work on the redesign of the UK Civil Serviceís Fast Stream graduate recruitment process. In 2006, Cubiks was named International Business of the Year at the Surrey Business Awards and later that year achieved record levels of revenue and profitability.

Its clients include many of the biggest private and public sector employers operating today, such as The Cabinet Office, DHL, KPMG, British Airways, Deloitte, Hewlett Packard, Microsoft and Xerox

David comments:

ìCubiks is an expanding company with a bright future ahead of it and has both the people and products in place to enjoy enormous success.

ìThere can be little doubt that it has played a formative role in the development of online assessment tools, particularly in the graduate recruitment arena. This is a very exciting business area and Cubiks is ideally placed to help client organisations capitalise on the new technology solutions that are becoming available.

ìI am very glad to be on board at this key time as Cubiks prepares to launch its advanced online 360 degree feedback software, the Cubiks Multi-Rater Assessment.î

Welcoming David, Barry Spence, CEO of Cubiks, comments:

ìDavid is a highly talented individual who I feel fully meets the requirements of this role. In addition to having the right team fit, he has the skills, ability and vision to lead Cubiks forward in the UK and capture an even greater share of the HR consultancy market. I am very pleased that he has chosen to join Cubiks.î
