PCG and The Work Foundation join forces

PCG and The Work Foundation join forces to explore the future of work

The Professional Contractors Group (PCG) is today announcing that it has joined The Work Foundation as a Principal Partner.

PCGís chief executive office John Thomas said, ìwe are delighted to be joining forces with The Work Foundation. PCGís long-term goal is to spread the understanding that work is no longer just about being an employee. The Work Foundation is a key player in the current discourse on work in the UK, and between us we hope to shape the debate.î

Will Hutton, chief executive of The Work Foundation, said, ìwe are very pleased to welcome PCG as a Principal Partner, and look forward to their contribution to our ongoing programme of work to find the best ways of improving both economic performance and quality of working life.î

PCG will be feeding in to The Work Foundationís existing work programmes, including projects on flexible working, the knowledge economy and the Foundationís overarching theme, ìgood workî. The two organisations are also seeking to develop a new research programme to provide a definitive overview of modern ways of working in the UK that sit outside the traditional employment model.

Other Principal Partners of The Work Foundation include Tesco, ASDA, the BBC, Microsoft, the Ministry of Defence, the TUC and EDF Energy.
