The Flexible Working Fair 2007, sponsored by the LDA, will be held from 10.00am until 6.00pm on the 30th March 2007 at the Rich Mix, 35-47 Bethnal Green Road, E1 6LA.
This one-day FREE event is aimed at all those who are looking for part-time or flexible work in London. And there will be a FREE crche to allow parents to leave their children safely while they wander the fair.
Anyone who dreams of a perfect work-life balance, whether they are parents who wish to return to work, students and retired or mature people looking for an extra income or carers and lone parents, should visit The Flexible Working Fair 2007.
Visitors at the event will be able to meet and talk to potential employers, find out about part-time courses and training opportunities and receive help and advice on how to write or fill in a CV. They will also be able to attend seminars on employee rights, how to present well at interviews, learn more about diversity issues as well as gather information on employee benefits.
There are over 30 exhibitors, most of whom are actively looking for recruits, include: Reed in Partnership, JobCentre Plus, Barts and the London NHS, Siemens, Haden Building Management, The London Borough of Tower Hamlets, Metropolitan Police, Birkbeck University and many more.
Young mother, Nina Daranijo, director of JustPartTime, started the company after the birth of her first child. Despite trawling the recruitment websites, Nina, who lives in Mill Hill, couldnít find suitable part time employment. In her frustration she decided to create the first website dedicated to all things part-time, www.justparttime.co.uk.
Nina states: ìI decided to hold a live event so that people could come along and talk to employers directly in a less intimidating, relaxed and interactive environment.î
ìThere will also be a virtual fair, lasting 4 weeks, which will run concurrently with the JustPartTime Flexible Working Fair 2007. This will provide visitors with information on part-time vacancies available nationwide, latest news of part-time working, career information and the chance to register on-line for the seminars. Itís also very useful to receive feedback from those that use the site and find out what could be done to improve the service we provideî.
The London Development Agency (LDA) is sponsoring the Flexible Working Fair 2007 as part of the Mayorsí Economic Development Strategy to invest in people by improving access to skills and knowledge, tackle barriers to employment and engage Londonís diverse communities.
If you are interested in attending the JustPartTime Flexible Working Fair 2007 please register at www.justparttime.co.uk, where you can also register for the free CV-help service, or call us on 0208 7360480.
