Octavian Recruitment, the recruitment arm of the Octavian Group of Companies, has acquired the issued share capital of OSS Limited, an organisation which provides operational and safety support to the BP fuel terminal in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
The acquisition, which marks Octavianís entry into Northern Ireland, will not lead to any personnel changes at OSS, but going forwards the business will form part of Octavian Recruitment and will be branded as such. OSS will in turn benefit from the superior resource, strategic acumen and global presence of being part of the Octavian Group of Companies.
The business which has assisted in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the BP terminal for over ten years, will continue to be run on a day-to-day level by the newly acquired team in Belfast, overseen by Charlotte Riley who heads up the overall UK division. Strategically the business will be managed by Octavian Group managing director Sukhi Ghuman and Octavian Group director of global strategy and compliance, Avi Pawar.
Sukhi Ghuman, says of the acquisition:
ìOctavian Recruitment and Octavian Security already deal with a number of the worldís leading utility organisations, and this exciting acquisition marks the Groupís first dealings with BP, as well as facilitating our entry into the Northern Ireland market. This market is currently undergoing a major boom and Octavian is now well positioned to be part of this. We are always looking at growth markets around the world and I am delighted with this acquisition.
ìWe recognised that OSS was an organisation of outstanding professionalism and the fit with Octavian was immediately apparent. Our sector experience means that we will be able to enhance and expand the companyís operational strengths, and hopefully seek to take on new similar contracts across Northern Ireland.î
Incorporated in 2003, Octavian Recruitment supplies temporary employees to organisations in the professional and industrial sectors. The company is renowned in the industry for not only providing the temporary workforce, but also the essential infrastructure surrounding them, from training and development programmes to housing support.
