People4business short-listed for Industry Award

People4business.com has reached the final stages of the 3rd Annual Onrec Awards in the Best Technical Innovation category, which celebrates technical advances and innovation

People4business.com, the innovative West Sussex company that brings freelancer workers and business buyers together in a unique online trading environment, has been short-listed for a prestigious recruitment industry award.

People4business.com has reached the final stages of the 3rd Annual Onrec Awards in the Best Technical Innovation category, which celebrates technical advances and innovation.

The Burgess Hill-based business is the only enterprise in the country providing a truly transparent ëend-to-endí online trading environment, where businesses can search for the freelance and contractor services they need by skills, price, location, availability and performance rating Öand then agree and process contractual terms direct with the seller.

People4business.com is building the broadest freelance skills resource website in the UK ñ in total the company has identified a taxonomy of 5,500 marketable skills across 12 industry sectors. Registration is free and sellers control their hourly rates and availability from their personal home-page. People4business applies a fixed (and industry-beating) 10% margin to the sellerís chosen rate, and from this margin also pays a 2% ëFinderís Feeí for other sellers and buyers introduced to the site.

ìWe are delighted to have been nominated for this award ñ it reinforces the reputation we are gaining as real industry innovators,î says people4business.com Managing Director Duncan Taylor.

ìFor example, we recently launched the UKís first free online jobs board for businesses looking for freelance and contractor support. We were also the first recruitment company to introduce an ëe-bayí style performance ratings system covering independent professionals and contractors.î
