McCasland received her bachelorís degree from The University of Texas at Austin. Her work has been recognized with numerous awards from the International Association of Business Communicators, including the Dallas chapter Communicator of the Year award. She is an accomplished speaker on communication issues, and authored an article in American Compensation Journal on workplace culture.
