General jobs website localjobsearch.co.uk and sister site InAutomotive.com are keen to help find employment for the workers affected by the announcement made yesterday (Tuesday 18 April) by Peugeot.
Peugeot announced that they were to close the plant at Ryton, near Coventry, and make some 2,300 workers redundant in the process.
Abi Mellor, Channel Manager for localjobsearch.co.uk said: ìWe have over 400 jobs of varying types currently listed in the West Midlands, some of which are related to the automotive industry, and are adding to this number daily.
ìWe will also be working hard with potential employers in the area to encourage them to advertise to make as many vacancies as possible available to those affected.
ìI would encourage anyone looking for a new job to visit localjobsearch.co.uk and register. This means that potential employers will be able to contact them directly about vacancies they have.î
Simon Rowland, Account Manager for InAutomotive.com, said: ìAs the UKís leading automotive jobs website we can offer job seekers manufacturing jobs in West Midlands and across the UK.
ìWe also carry jobs in all of the other automotive categories which will help people who have a range of skills or who are looking to retrain.
ìIf they log onto InAutomotive.com they can register a CV for free, which is then available for all our automotive clients to view.î
