Raleigh, NC - Workplace Options, provider of work-life employee benefits in America, have announced the hiring of Clark Adams as VP of Growth Initiatives. In his new role, Mr. Adams will be responsible for investigating new business partnerships and acquisitions for Workplace Options. He will report to Alan King, President of Workplace Options, who in addition to overseeing day-to-day operations at Workplace Options, will work with Mr. Adams to integrate the new business lines that result from new partnerships and acquisitions.
Workplace Options has had four continuous years of robust financial growth, adding more than 10 million employee lives to its rosters. Much of this growth is a result of an aggressive acquisition strategy and the launch of new products and services.
As CEO of Mulberry Child Care Centers from 1993 to 2001, Mr. Adams grew revenues from $2 million to $65 million before orchestrating the sale of the company to KinderCare Learning Centers and Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co (KKR). Mr. Adams was also instrumental in merging The National Work Family Alliance and the Association of Child Care Consultants into the Alliance for Work-Life Progress ñ the largest and most prestigious association in our industry.
As co-founder of AWLP and former CEO of Mulberry Child Care Centers, Clark has extensive knowledge of the work/life and EAP industry, said Dean Debnam, CEO of Workplace Options. This industry knowledge, together with Clark’s expertise and experience in mergers and acquisitions will help Workplace Options continue its commitment of growth.
Over the past 10 years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with all of the members of WPO’s senior management team in a variety of roles and situations, said Mr. Adams. Now, I feel both excited and fortunate to be able to join them in the ongoing development of WPO and the continuing expansion of such an important service industry.
