Networkers International plc has opened offices in Beijing and Cape Town to serve growing demand for its recruitment consultancy services in mobile communications and related IT markets.
The UK-based firmís move to establish a full presence in South Africa and China is in response to increasing investment by network operators. Both countries are experiencing record levels of economic activity including growing levels of inward investment.
Currently totalling more than 340 million, the number of mobile users in China is growing by 160,000 a day. With data usage the highest in the world, China is expected to be market leader in 3G.
The launch of the Cape Town office comes in response to significant progress in mobile telecoms. Africa is the worldís fastest-growing mobile telecoms market, with investment in infrastructure expected to reach US$11.9 billion in 2006-2010 and 3G continuing its rollout across the continent.
