FEcareers.co.uk continues to grow, with record numbers of Work Based Learning and FE College jobseekers visiting the specialist job board. This month has seen a 24% increase in hits, page views increase by a third and overall visitors by 30% on their last record month. FE Careers success has also be shared by their sister news site www.FEnews.co.uk.
In March the combined hits on FE Careers and FE News reached 1.2 Million hits, nearly 460,000 page views, 76,700 visitor sessions and 19,423 unique visitors. FE Careers hit the milestone 10,000 unique visitors and the team are over the moon.
The CEO of FE Careers and FE News comments ìThanks a million to all of our job seekers and news readers. The team at FE News and FE Careers have been working really hard to deliver what our audience is looking for.î
ìOur FE news editor Jethro has brought together an excellent team of journalists, we are consistently first to break news articles across the Further Education sector and are continually providing exclusive interviews with the industry leaders. Our team at FE Careers are working with the top FE recruiters and some of the largest training providers in the UK. They have also increased the number of College advertisers to 30% of our client base. Our banner and button advertising sales team have also started to make some real headway as advertisers have been capitalising on the success of the sites. Our banner advertising is currently booked out for the next 3 months, which we are really pleased about. The team are all pulling together and we are starting to see results from all the hard work we are putting in.î
Gavin later explained that they are not sitting back, the team are early in their preparations for a new release of FE Careers and FE News. This could be within the next 6 months and could mean a total overhaul of the current job board and news site. This will mean the ninth major development project on the websites since their launch in 2004. Watch this space for the latest on these developments, some of which sound very exciting with new ways of attracting FE job seekers, a new way of publishing news articles and an offering for long term partnerships with advertisers and partner organisations.
Gavin was a little cagey about going on the record about the latest developments, but sounded very excited about their latest development plans. ìYes, we are in the early stages of yet another development on FE Careers and FE News. As we are marketing partners with the Association of Learning Providers, the IAV and AEV the process is going to take a little longer than previous developments. Our new developments are really opening the doors for long term partnerships for our advertisers and marketing partners. We are listening to our Tutor and Assessor job seekers, as well as our news readers to see what we can do to improve our service, as well as exploring new ways of attracting Work Based Learning and FE College job seekers. If our new release can do what we think it can do, then we will have really pushed the boundaries for all of the FE stake holders. Obviously we canít go into too much detail right now, but I am getting really excited by these new developments. We are all having a good time in FE Careers and News at the moment, it is stretching, hard work, and we are enjoying the continual change and improvement of our servicesÖ but we can not continually look to the future, today is good, we have hit yet another milestone and I really want to thank all of the FE team, advertisers and visitors for let us reach this goalî
