Many of you will remember the excellent presentation made last year by Alison and Carl. They summarised the challenges which recruiters face in their quest for recruiting the best graduates and described the proposed benchmarking process for employers. This event was sold out to capacity at an early stage, so please book as early as you can to guarantee admittance.

They need no introduction. We are delighted that they have accepted our invitation to present again to the Society. The last 12 months has seen considerable activity in the area of graduate recruitment, including a further tightening of the top end of the recruitment market, and pressure on organisations not already doing so to embrace a diversity agenda.

Alison and Carl will present the main issues currently facing graduate recruiters, most notably progress on the employer ìqualificationî and its contribution to brand development and ìemployer of choiceî. They will also talk about initiatives to encourage higher education to offer more relevant skills training, and efforts to persuade employers to communicate their needs and requirements more effectively.

The evening will commence with pre-meeting drinks from 6.00 pm, the presentation will start at 6.30, and the formal part of the evening, finishing at 7.45, will be followed by networking over drinks and nibbles, with attendees leaving at 9.00.

We are indebted to PricewaterhouseCoopers for their hosting and support for this important event.
